3 Opportunities to Celebrate OPEN's Week of Visibility for Non-Monogamy With Me!
Join me for three online events next month to celebrate the Week of Visibility for Non-Monogamy
In celebration of the Organization for Polyamory and Ethical Non-Monogamy's Week of Visibility for Non-Monogamy, (and as fundraisers to support OPEN’s valuable efforts to create legal protections for non-monogamous families), you're invited to join me online for three events next month, all sliding scale or donation-based!
Monday July 15th, 5-6:30PM PST
Exploring History & Culture
Come hear from this panel of writers and educators who will explore the rich and diverse history of non-monogamous relationships across various cultures and time periods.
Panelists include:
Polyamorous educators Nick Piperno and Millie Boella, through their pioneering work at Decolonizing Love, explore polyamory through the lenses of decolonization, desirability politics, and inclusivity. Their innovative approach aims to make polyamory more accessible and supportive for marginalized communities.
Dr. Leanna Wolfe, anthropologist and sexologist, whose research spans fieldwork on polygamy in East Africa and polyandry in Tibet. Her recent book "177 Lovers and Counting: My Life as a Sex Researcher," brings a unique academic perspective to the conversation.
Glen W. Olson, author of "Fifty Years of Polyamory in America: A Guided Tour of a Growing Movement," which offers a comprehensive look at the history of polyamory in the United States, from early influences to contemporary practices. Olson's engaging narrative provides insights into the evolution of polyamory, spotlighting key figures, organizations, and the cultural shifts that have shaped the movement over the past five decades.
Tuesday July 16th, 6-7:30PM PST
Exploring Identity & Inclusion
With the intention of promoting awareness, acceptance, and understanding of non-monogamous relationships as legitimate and enriching life choices, I’m so excited that 5 other members of my “polycule” are joining me to demystify the complexities of maintaining harmony in our large polyamorous relationship network.
You’ll hear from:
Skye Arun aka GlittrCat, Music Producer, DJ & Artist (my nesting partner of 12 years)
Justin McGahan, MA, PhD, Poly Therapist (my new sweetie 🥰)
Salina Mae, Mindfulness Education Consultant, Relationship Coach (Justin’s incredibly generous and big-hearted wife)
Bexx, Lawyer, tech professional & sex positive facilitator (Skye’s very thoughtful partner who I’ve grown quite fond of)
Brian, Doctor, addiction medicine (A dear friend who is the husband to Olivia; Olivia is another partner to Skye, and a close friend of mine; collectively and lovingly we refer to Skye & Olivia as the “evil twins” for their creative and almost psychic connection)
We’ll explore our intimate relationship ecosystem, our philosophies of relating, how we approach hierarchy, jealousy, time management, boundaries, metamour interactions, safer sex practices and more!

Wednesday July 17th, 6:30-8PM PST
Exploring Myths & Misconceptions
As part of Wednesday’s myths and misconceptions theme, I’m leading a workshop that aims to disrupt the myth that setting boundaries in non-monogamous relationships is about controlling your partner(s). Instead, this workshop offers practical guidance on how to create and evolve boundaries that support personal autonomy by empowering individuals to express their own limits and preferences. When we know what we’re actually available for and have capacity for, we can form relationship agreements that help clarify expectations with partner(s) for healthier relating.
These Events Are Fundraisers for OPEN: Support the Movement
OPEN is dedicated to passing legislation that protects alternative relationship family structures. 100% of your Monday & Tuesday ticket donations will go to support OPEN’s advocacy efforts to promote positive awareness and inclusivity for fellow non-monogamous families. OPEN’s recent legislation has passed in cities like Oakland and Berkeley, safeguarding the rights of non-monogamous families. Be part of this important change!
Let's build a more inclusive and understanding world together.
